My research focuses on race and gender, and mostly in racism and women’s history in Brazil. I teach a course that is a Black History of Carnival in Brazil. My latest book is the biography of Milton Goncalves the most awarded Afro Brazilian actor (cinema, TV and theatre), in which I also focus on his participation in campaigns against racism in Brazil. Teaching courses on Latin American History, Gender, Race, Atlantic World and Ideas of Liberation in Latin America, to mention some.
