¿Should Anti-Racist Struggles Turn to the Law?: Possibilities and Shortcomings of Legal Strategies against Racism in Latin America
Maria Moreno, Profesora visitante Departamento de Sociología y Género FLACSO.
I have been working on racism and anti-racism in Latin America with a special focus on the Andes. Currently I am interested in looking at the connections of forms of social protest and open manifestations of racism and xenophobia. I have also worked at the intersection of race, gender, and activism. I would like to present research regarding anti-racism and the possibilities and limits of using the legal system.
